Heditra Toolkit

Descripció

Nothing is active by default. The setup wizard, started from the Heditra menu, asks which modules you want; each one adds its settings page under that menu.

  • Ads: fills only the slots the Heditra News theme declares (below header, in feed, in article, before conclusion, sticky sidebar, between sections, anchor). Targeting by device, page type and section, per-article exclusion, no ads for logged-in users, lazy loading below the fold, one AdSense library load, Auto ads on or off.
  • Measurement: GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console and Bing verification tags, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, deferred loading, GA4 events for the theme’s “Download”, “See the offer”, “Copy the code” and “See the price” buttons.
  • Consent: Consent Mode v2 defaults, Google consent message, any TCF-compatible CMP or a consent plugin that follows the WP Consent API (Complianz, CookieYes…), no ad or measurement script before consent in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland.
  • Editorial control: article type field (news, tip, guide, review, comparison, app sheet), minimum and target lengths, required sections, duplicate title detection, featured image and alternative text reminders. Alerts never block publishing; they are logged on the article.
  • Statistics: views and button clicks counted per day without any personal data, powering the theme’s “Most read” lists and the “Most read” sort.
  • Import / export: one JSON file with the plugin and theme settings.
  • Search engines: meta description, indexing rules for thin archives, Article, NewsArticle and BreadcrumbList structured data. Steps aside when Rank Math, Yoast, SEOPress, All in One SEO or The SEO Framework is active.
  • Share buttons: plain links to X, Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and e-mail, plus a button that copies the address. No script from the networks is loaded.
  • Author box: role, specialties and profiles on other sites, filled on the user profile.
  • Lighter pages: leaves the emoji script of WordPress out of the public pages.
  • Sections: featured posts, related deals and the long “Everything about” text of each category.
  • Essential pages: About, Contact and Legal notice created on request from the wizard or the dashboard, as drafts or published, in the language of the site. A page you already have is never replaced.
  • Reviews and comparisons: a Product type (spec sheet by template, merchant links or Offrinko offers), blocks Verdict in 30 seconds, Detailed ratings, Spec sheet, Best prices, Comparison A vs B (table filled from the spec sheets) and Alternatives; review header and final banner in the theme, best prices in the sidebar, sticky mobile price bar, Review, Product and FAQPage structured data.
  • Deals: a Deal type at /bons-plans/ with categories and merchants, computed discount, promo codes copied in one click, true deadlines only, automatic “expired” state (offers stay online), tabs and filters, country-limited offers, the Offer block, deals on the homepage, next to the slider, in the sidebar of each section, alerts by WhatsApp, Telegram and e-mail, Product + Offer structured data.
  • Software library: an Application type at /telecharger/ with categories and platforms, official links only (no file is hosted), three ratings, screenshots and video, download clicks counted in the background, an optional daily dead-link check with an alert on the Applications screen, the Application card block, “App of the week” next to the slider, SoftwareApplication structured data.

Source code

Every file in the plugin is its own readable source: there is no build step, and no file is compiled or minified. The loaders of the Meta and TikTok pixels in assets/js/front.js are written for the plugin and follow the snippets published by Meta and TikTok.

External services

Nothing below is contacted until you enable the matching module and enter your own identifier. With the consent gate on, visitors from the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland load none of these scripts before they accept.

Google AdSense

Used to display ads in the theme’s slots. When the Ads module is on and a publisher ID is set, the visitor’s browser loads https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js. Google receives the publisher ID, the page address, the IP address, the user agent and its own cookies or identifiers.

Google Analytics 4 and Google tag

Used to measure audience and the clicks on the theme’s buttons. When a GA4 measurement ID is set, the visitor’s browser loads https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js. Google receives the measurement ID, the page address and title, the IP address, the user agent, the consent state and the events “download”, “see the offer”, “copy the code” and “see the price” with the label of the button.

Google Tag Manager

Used to load the tags you configure in your own container. When a container ID is set, the visitor’s browser loads https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js. Google receives the container ID, the page address, the IP address and the user agent.

Google consent message (Privacy & messaging)

Used to ask for consent when you choose “Google consent message”. The visitor’s browser loads https://fundingchoicesmessages.google.com/i/ followed by your publisher ID. Google receives the publisher ID, the page address, the IP address, the user agent and the visitor’s choice.

Meta Pixel

Used to measure visits for Meta advertising. When a pixel ID is set, the visitor’s browser loads https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js. Meta receives the pixel ID, the page address, the IP address, the user agent and its own cookies.
Terms of service · Privacy policy

TikTok Pixel

Used to measure visits for TikTok advertising. When a pixel ID is set, the visitor’s browser loads https://analytics.tiktok.com/i18n/pixel/events.js. TikTok receives the pixel ID, the page address, the IP address, the user agent and its own cookies.

Download links you enter (dead-link check)

Only when you tick “Check the download links every day” in the library settings, which is off by default, or when you press “Check now”, your server requests each download address you typed in your application sheets, to find links that no longer answer. Typical hosts are Google Play, the App Store, the Microsoft Store and publishers’ sites. Only the address itself and the standard WordPress user agent are sent; no visitor data is involved.

Share links (links only)

With the Share buttons module on, articles show links to X, Facebook, WhatsApp and LinkedIn. Nothing is loaded from these networks and nothing is sent to them while the page is displayed. They receive the address and the title of the article only when a visitor clicks one of the links.

Privacy

The plugin’s own statistics store a number of views and clicks per content and per day. No IP address, no cookie, no identifier and no user agent is stored, and nothing leaves your site. Editorial alerts are stored on the article they concern. Uninstalling the plugin removes its settings, its statistics, the alert log and its scheduled tasks. Your deals, applications, products and articles stay in the database.

PMF

Does it work with another theme?

Measurement, consent, editorial control and statistics work with any theme. Ad slots, homepage modules and sidebar deals need Heditra News.

Where do ads appear?

Only in the slots declared by the theme, and only in the ones switched on in Appearance, Customize, Ad placements. If you turn on AdSense Auto ads, Google may place more ads on the page: that option is off by default.

Can I paste my own ad or script code?

No. The plugin builds the AdSense units from their IDs and loads the tags it knows, all behind the consent gate. For other tags, use your Google Tag Manager container.

Does the plugin make my site compliant with privacy law?

No plugin can do that. It holds ad and measurement scripts back until the visitor agrees, and it creates model pages for a legal notice. Whether your site meets the law of your country is for you to check, with a professional if needed.

Is the legal notice page ready to publish?

No. It is a model with items in square brackets to replace. It is created as a draft unless you choose otherwise.

Registre de canvis

0.8.2

  • Structured data: deals and compared products describe prices seen at merchants (AggregateOffer), so Google no longer treats them as merchant listings asking for shipping, returns and GTIN. Deals carry their start and end dates.
  • Structured data: a compared product is only described when the comparison rates it.
  • Prices in structured data are written with two decimals.

0.8.1

  • Ad slots added to the page after it loaded (infinite feed, “load more” buttons) now receive their ad instead of staying empty.

0.8.0

  • The plugin is now called Heditra Toolkit: new slug, text domain, content type names and option names. Deactivation and uninstall clean every task and option.
  • Fixed: theme settings ignored on import, warnings on incomplete settings, ads not loading when consent arrives in two steps, ads placed in a hidden slot, deals page missing from the menu when the header button points elsewhere.
  • The wizard warns when the accent colour is too light for links.
  • The consent message is requested once the page is displayed, so the first paint carries no third-party script.
  • The settings import checks its nonce and the user’s rights itself.
  • Ad places are folded away when the visitor refuses ads or when AdSense has nothing to serve, and come back if the visitor accepts later.
  • A single “Deals” link in the header: no menu entry is added while the theme shows its Deals button.
  • Essential pages can be created in one click from the last step of the wizard and from the dashboard.
  • New modules Search engines and Share buttons. Author details, section content and the length panel of the editor now live in the plugin instead of the theme.
  • Removed the free code zones and the custom ad code: the plugin no longer prints code typed by users. AdSense units are built from their IDs.
  • The daily dead-link check is off until you switch it on.
  • The wizard no longer opens after a bulk or network activation.
  • The settings import only accepts a small JSON file uploaded in the same request.
  • The download buttons name the store* New AdSense formats for the ad places: In-feed (with its layout key) and Multiplex.
  • Applications can carry a “Use responsibly” note, shown before the download buttons.
  • The download buttons name the store only when the link goes to a store; otherwise they show the publisher’s domain.
  • Consent given through the WP Consent API (Complianz, CookieYes…) now opens ads and measurement.
  • The modules start even when the plugin is loaded after the theme.
  • The daily dead-link check is only scheduled once it is ticked.
  • The wizard no longer opens on activation: start it from the Heditra menu or from the link on the Plugins screen. No notice is shown outside the plugin’s screens.
  • Structured data is printed with wp_print_inline_script_tag and its JSON escapes < > & and quotes. Titles are decoded first, so an ampersand no longer shows as &.
  • The Meta and TikTok pixel loaders are written out in readable code.
  • Queries no longer exclude posts: the post being edited and the application being shown are left out of the results afterwards. The setting of the sections without a given ad is stored under a new name; older settings and export files are converted.
